This unique practical dementia awareness session is tailored for care professionals in the care industry who want to foster a more inclusive and supportive environment for individuals with dementia.
The session can also be delivered as part of a corporate training programme to support the Unpaid Carers Act and employee wellbeing, or can be delivered by care providers.

You will learn all the fundamental elements on how to deliver the dementia experience workshop.
Module 1: Introduction to dementia care training
Module 2: Recognising dementia symptoms and how to administer interactive quiz
Module 3: How to run the interactive sensory experience and how to effectively debrief participants
Module 4: Managing challenging behaviours
Module 5: How to administer and play the identification game
Module 6: How to administer the quick fire quiz and review
Module 7: How to run the final debrief
PLUS receive all the materials including detailed lesson plan, session outlines, list of required equipment and set up instructions
HOW LONG WILL THIS TRAIN THE TRAINER COURSE TAKE?
The course will take approximately 45 minutes. However, please note that you then need to familiarise yourself with the course materials etc.
